India’s 70th Republic Day

India’s 70th Republic Day was celebrated with great reverence at Hindustan International School, Guindy.

The day began with a prayer followed by flag hoisting by our Chief Guest, Mr Govind Kumar, an expert in the areas of strategy, artificial intelligence, risk management, and quality. Hearts filled with pride with the National Anthem being sung after flag hoisting.

The Chief Guest spoke eloquently about the independence of our country and its relevance to the 21 st century, today’s world. Various cultural events included patriotic song singing by grade 4 learners followed by a fundamental right and duties themed street play by grade 3 and 5. Energetic and power pack dance performances were on display by grade 3,
7 and 8.

We are indeed proud of our motherland, India which has flourished despite adversities to rise victorious.
