8th Annual Sports Day Hindustan International School, Guindy

The 8th Annual Sports Day at Hindustan International School, Guindy, Chennai, was a vibrant event filled with excitement. Students gathered on the school grounds in their house colors, eager for the day’s activities. The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. M.C. Sarangan, IPS (Retd), and Guest of Honor, Dr. Manjupriya Marisamy. The day began with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome from Principal Dr. Lalli CK.

The school’s flag was proudly unfurled, and a well-coordinated march past by the students set the tone. The lighting of the torch by the Chief Guest symbolized the beginning of the Sports Meet. The Sports Captain led the oath-taking, and Dr. Sarangan officially declared the meet open.

Students participated in a range of displays, including a pom-pom drill by Grades 1-2, a yoga performance by Grades 3-5, and a Saree drill by Grades 6-8, promoting social inclusion and the Sustainable Development Goals. The day was filled with competitive events like races and relays, culminating in a prize distribution ceremony to honor the participants.

The closing ceremony featured a final march past, followed by speeches that encouraged students to strive for excellence in both sports and life. The event concluded on a high note, celebrating sportsmanship and teamwork.
