Children’s Day 2019 Guindy
Books, Backpacks and Time Tables are an everyday chore for any school going child, but there comes a day in the year where the kids need not worry about this routine, because this day is all about an open appreciation for just being a child.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of Independent India, took it upon himself to entourage the children of India as he correctly envisioned that a Nations’ progress lies in its young generation. His birthday, 14 November has from then on been celebrated as Children’s Day throughout the Country.
The children of Hindustan International School, Guindy eagerly awaited the riveting performances by their Teachers. The resounding joy and bliss on innocent faces was a sight to behold.
The celebration started with Principal reading out a thoughtful letter written by Chacha Nehru to the children of India.
The teachers of HIS, Guindy welcomed the children through special prayer songs, they danced to the groovy musical ensemble and acted in a skit with all the fun tit- bits of everyday school life.
The memorable day ended with presentation of souveniers in celebration of the occasion and classroom games organised by the teachers.
