Eureka Steam Exhibition – 2019

“Science begins with wonder, scientific temperament and rational thinking”.

Eureka 2019, STEAM exhibition organised by Hindustan International School, Guindy was a step towards innovating the unimaginable and promoting participatory, hands-on understanding with projects exhibiting trans-disciplinary learning.

The objective of the exhibition was to provide a common platform to the students to bring the core subjects of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, all blended in a unique tapestry.

Retired ISRO Scientist, Prof. V Ramamoorthy, the Chief Guest for the day addressed the Students and the Parents in an interactive speech, motivating and igniting the spark of inquiry in all.

Students from Grades 3 to 9 under the guidance of their mentors , worked towards building projects which explored how science, technology and art overlap and interact, and can be innovative.

The projects ranged from Zero Cost Farming to Artificial Intelligence , HIS Student Warriors shared their creative ideas and solutions to everyday challenges through their innovative working / non-working models, exhibits, projects and presentations supported by reports, displays and research findings. It was remarkable to notice that the Students had been inspired to conceptualize and initiate their personal scientific journey through self-motivation and with a concern for sustainability and inclusivity.
