Nutrition is the science that interprets the interaction of nutrients and other substances in food. FOOD PYRAMID represents the food we have to take daily in day-to-day basis.
The macronutrients are carbohydrates, fiber, fats, protein and water.
Carbohydrates constitute a large part of foods such as rice, bread and other grain-based products, also potatoes, yams, beans, fruits, fruit juices and vegetables.
Fiber, found in wheat flour,nuts.
Fats are found in Ghee, Edible oils, Butter, Cheese.
Proteins are chains of amino acids found in most nutritional foods like milk, rice and Beans.
Water required for maintenance of good health suggested that 6–8 glasses of water daily is the minimum to maintain proper hydration.
