HHO Onam Celebration 2025
Introduction
The Hindustan Group of Institutions celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with grandeur and cultural splendour on Saturday, 23rd August 2025 at the HHO premises. The celebration brought together staff, and distinguished guests in a colourful display of Kerala’s rich traditions, joy, and festive spirit. The event highlighted the values of unity, prosperity, and harmony, rooted in the legendary reign of King Mahabali.
Inaugural Session
The programme commenced with the arrival of dignitaries who were warmly welcomed by the gathering.
- Welcome Address – Ms. Susan George, Principal of Hindustan International School, Padur, set the tone of the event with her inspiring message.
- The festivities began with the soulful MaveliPaattu, followed by the graceful Thiruvathira performed by the educators of HIS, reflecting the cultural essence of Kerala.
Special Addresses
The dignitaries present graced the occasion with their words of wisdom:
Onam Wishes – Dr.Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman, extended heartfelt Onam greetings, beginning in English and continuing with a few lines in Malayalam, which added authenticity and warmth to the celebration.
Onam Address – Dr. Ashok George Verghese, Vice President, emphasized the values of humility, leadership, and harmony associated with Onam.
Special Address – Mr. Aby Sam, Executive Director, inspired the gathering with his vision and message of cultural pride.
Special Address – Mr. YSM Bosco highlighted the importance of togetherness and community spirit.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of ThanksbyDr.Lalli, Principal of HIS, Guindy, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers for their wholehearted contributions in making the celebration a grand success.
