Knowledge Sharing Session

“Gaining knowledge is the first step to wisdom. Sharing it is the first step to humanity.”

Hindustan International School, Guindy hosted a “Knowledge Sharing session” for parents to promote awareness about the monumental shift in teaching and learning.

The Principal of HISG gave a remarkable presentation with detailed insights into the Cambridge way of education on the topic “How 21st Century Learners Learn”. At the end of the session, parents appreciated and felt that there was the reconstruction of information. The knowledge received during the session helped them to steer in the right direction and ward off many concerns and doubts. Parents also participated in a model classroom activity – The Dictation Player whereby they were the learners and the teachers assisted in scaffolding and facilitating the activity. Parents felt that the activity was very engaging as it brought in enthusiasm and spontaneity among them and more importantly, concrete learning took place in a much fun-filled, stress-free way. The Knowledge Sharing Session definitely elevated their experience as they were able to shift their perspective by breaking free from the traditional method of schooling and constructing enduring understanding about how learners learn in the 21st Century and what truly would make a school unique. The session resulted in a paradigm shift and enhanced the Matrix of Knowledge for the parents.
