Korean Day Celebration

Korea, “the Land of Morning Calm” is a country deeply rooted in its culture, values and beliefs. Hindustan International School, Guindy was privileged to celebrate the Korean Day ‘Arirang’ in its Campus on 16 October 2019.

The event was graced by the presence of the Honourary Deputy Consul Genral of the Republic of Korea-M Hong Yup Lee. The students of HIS, Guindy were enthralled the Korean culture along with their Korean friends in the campus.

HIS Guindy has a sizeable presence of Korean Students ranging from KG TO Grade 6 and form an integral part of the school fraternity.

In tune with the Korean ethos, cultural programmes were oraganised by the students of HIS , Guindy. The beautiful ‘Arirang’ song with its melodious tune captivated the audience. The traditional Fan Dance with its harmonically blended orchestra enthralled all. A skit titled ‘Hare and the Tortoise’ which is an integral part of the Korean folklore , amused and thoroughly entertained the viewers.

HIS , Guindy in its endeavour to bring in ‘International Mindedness’ among the Students and Staff will continue to strive along its journey and ensure that its Student Warriors become Global Citizens of the World.Celebrating the Korean Day with Korean friends was a privilege and an opportunity for the Students to learn about the spirit of the wonderful people of The Republic of Korea.
