Programme Focus: Responsible and sustainable integration of Artificial Intelligence in Indian school education
OBJECTIVE:
The National Summit on AI in Indian Education was attended to gain contemporary insights into the responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence in schools. The programme explored the role of
AI in improving access, equity, quality assurance and institutional decision-making, while also emphasising the importance of student wellbeing and sustainable implementation.
PROGRAMME OVERVIEW AND KEY HIGHLIGHTS
1. The summit brought together education leaders, school heads, founders, academic experts and quality assurance professionals to discuss the opportunities and responsibilities associated with AI in school education. The programme included an inaugural ceremony, panel discussions and professional networking opportunities.
2. The inaugural ceremony included a welcome address by Mr. Ravin Nair, Managing Director, QS I-GAUGE, along with special addresses by eminent education leaders.
3. The panel discussion, “From Data to Decisions: AI-Powered Quality Assurance in Schools”, explored how data and AI can support evidence-based institutional improvement.
4. The session, “Scaling AI in Schools: Strategy for Sustainable Transformation”, focused on developing a purposeful and sustainable approach to AI adoption.
5. The discussion, “Growing Up with AI: Protecting Student Wellbeing in a Digital World”, highlighted ethical implementation, digital responsibility and student wellbeing.
6. The summit also provided valuable opportunities for interaction and networking with education leaders and representatives from schools across India.
KEY LEARNINGS AND INSTITUTIONAL RELEVANCE

CONCLUSION
The National Summit on AI in Indian Education was a valuable professional learning experience. The programme offered a balanced perspective on the possibilities of AI and the responsibilities associated with its adoption in schools. The discussions reinforced that meaningful AI integration requires strategic planning, ethical awareness, institutional readiness and a continued focus on educational quality and student wellbeing.
