TWIRL & WHIRL 2024 Dandiya Program

Summary of the Session:

The objective of the Dandiya evening program was to celebrate the spirit of Navratri, promote cultural heritage, and provide a platform for socializing and community bonding.

Hindustan International School, Guindy organized a vibrant and spirited TWIRL & WHIRL 2024 Dandiya program on 9th November 2024 at the school premises in, Guindy Block. The event combined cultural celebration with a charitable cause, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and teachers.

The program commenced with a warm welcome by our School Principal Dr.C.K. Lalli, followed by a brief address highlighting by Ms. Jaanvi School Cultural Captain, the cause for which the event was organized. This year, the proceeds were dedicated to cause, e.g., supporting underprivileged students, contributing to disaster relief, promoting education, etc.

The atmosphere came alive with traditional Gujarati music and the energetic beats of the dhol. Participants adorned colourful ethnic attire, with sparkling dandiya sticks in hand, adding vibrancy to the event. Students from Grade 3 – 12 showcased stunning dance performances that reflected the spirit of Navratri. The audience joined in for a fun-filled Garba and Dandiya Raas session, bringing a sense of unity and joy.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Anita Thomas. The Dandiya program was not only a celebration of tradition but also a meaningful step towards making a positive difference in society.

The Dandiya evening program was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation and positive feedback. We look forward to organizing similar events in the future.
