Pongal Celebration 2020

Pongal is a Harvest Festival and Thanksgiving Day as well, celebrated in Tamil Nadu and Tamilians all over  India as well as Abroad. The four days of festivity begins with Bhogi followed by Thai Pongal and Mattu Pongal, ending with Jalli kattu .

We at HIS Karapakkam organized a full day of celebration inviting the Parents and Students. The various events at the School were designed in a manner to give enough and more enjoyment to all. It started with  “Tamil thai Vazhthu”. Songs were sung to thank and praise God for His abundance showered on all, dances were Choreographed signifying various aspects of  Pongal which were performed by our students to enrich the Program. Ms. Karunya of Grade I gave a magnificent display in Silambam which awed the audience. Children enjoyed Bullock cart ride, balloon shooting, pot breaking and mouth watering food.  

It was a memorable and enthralling dayfilled with fun and frolic.
