Road Safety awareness -Children’s day

Made by the Children, for the Children — A Call for a Safer Future

Chennai, November 14, 2025:

In a powerful and heartfelt tribute to Children’s Day, students of Hindustan International School, Karapakkam, from Grades VIII, IX, and XI, along with the school’s NCC cadets, transformed the Karapakkam Signal into a stage of awareness and action through a vibrant Road Safety Awareness Programme. The event was held under the theme “Made by the Children, for the Children — Pleading for a Safe Future,” symbolizing the voices of children urging society to ensure safer roads for every generation.

The programme began with an energetic flash mob, drawing the attention of motorists and passersby. The lively beats and synchronized moves set the tone for a deeper message that followed—a compelling mime performance portraying the importance of following traffic rules, avoiding distractions, and valuing every life on the road. The students’ expressive storytelling left a strong emotional impact, reminding onlookers that road safety is not just a rule but a responsibility.

Guided by teachers and supported by the NCC unit, the initiative showcased the power of youth-led social action.

The campaign reflected the vision of Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman of the Hindustan Group of Institutions, who believes education should shape responsible citizens committed to positive change.

Through their performance, the students not only celebrated Children’s Day with purpose but also delivered a clear message — a safer world begins when we listen to the children who dream of a secure and responsible tomorrow.
