KAMARAJAR DAY
Hindustan International School celebrated Kamarajar Day on 9 July 2026 with a series of engaging competitions that encouraged students to learn about the life, values, and contributions of Thiru K. Kamarajar. Students from Pre-Primary to Grade X participated enthusiastically in various competitions, showcasing their creativity, confidence, communication skills, and knowledge.
The competitions included Fancy Dress, Poem Recitation, Storytelling, Elocution, and Essay Writing.
Our young participants demonstrated remarkable talent and enthusiasm while presenting their ideas and performances on the theme of Kamarajar.
The Fancy Dress and Poem Recitation competitions provided our youngest learners with opportunities to express themselves creatively. Students from Grades III–V excelled in Storytelling, while students from Grades VI–VIII showcased their oratory skills through Elocution. The Essay Writing competition for Grades IX and X encouraged students to reflect on Kamarajar’s life, leadership, and contributions to society.
Heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants for their outstanding performances and for making Kamarajar Day a meaningful celebration of values, leadership, and learning.
The celebration also featured engaging cultural activities, speeches and performances highlighting Kamarajar’s contribution to education and nation-building. As part of the programme, students participated in an outreach visit to a Government Higher Secondary School, Karapakkam, promoting the values of education, sharing and social responsibility. The celebrations inspired students to embrace Kamarajar’s ideals of simplicity, hard work, leadership and service to society.
