Teachers’ day

We celebrate Teachers’ day every year throughout the country on 5th September. Students express their immense gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. This day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – second President of India. He was a great academic philosopher and one of the most well-known diplomats, scholar- President of India and above all a teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as teachers’ day.

 

A celebration conducted at our School by our students on 5th September2017. The Principal, Ms. Iris Theodore, addressing the entire school, lauded the entire staff for their exemplary contribution to the school’s phenomenal success. There was a special celebration for teachers which included games with many prizes followed by a grand lunch. The Principal appreciated the sincere efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student.

 

We decided that the responsibility of teaching for the day will be taken up by the students as an appreciation for their teachers.

As per the Indian culture, we started the day with prayer.

 

Various games were conducted for the teachers like a Musical chair, Treasure Hunt games etc., There was a breathtaking dance by the students of class 6, 7, 8 and 9.

In the afternoon, a special movie- “Hitchki” was screened dedicated to teachers. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by the Cultural Council Head Ms. Kavya Vijay and Sushma Sree.

 

Principal then called upon the organizing student committee and thanked them for all their efforts that had led to this successful programme and with that, the students and teachers dispersed.
