79th Independence Day 2025

The 79th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great pride and patriotic fervour at Hindustan International School, Karapakkam, on 15th August 2025. The event brought together students, staff, and dignitaries to honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and to reaffirm our commitment to the values of liberty, unity, and responsibility. The celebration was marked by a dignified flag hoisting, inspiring speeches, a vibrant cultural programme, and the recognition of winners from the pre-Independence Day competitions. The occasion not only evoked a sense of national pride but also served as a platform to inspire young minds to uphold the ideals of our nation.

The day began with a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony. Dr. Muthukumar S, Registrar , KCG, COLLEGE of Technology  unfurled the tricolour as the school community stood in respect, their hearts swelling with pride

The choir’s stirring rendition of Jana Gana Mana united all voices in patriotic harmony was a spectacle .Students from various grades marched in perfect synchrony, earning applause from the Chief Guest who took the salute. Vice Captain of Margaret Thatcher House Master Suhas Kamath delivered the Welcome address.

Dr. Muthukumar S inspired students with reflections on being an Ethical Personality, urging them to dream big and contribute meaningfully to society.

The Principal reminded everyone that freedom is not only a right but also a responsibility, urging students to serve the nation with integrity and compassion, while carrying the strong message to respect every individual.

As a curtain raiser to the grand Independence Day event, the school hosted patriotic competitions on Wednesday, 13th August 2025. The activities were designed to instil a spirit of nationalism and showcase the talents of students from PP1 to Grade XI.
